Promotion of players to higher levels
Hockey is a growing sport in terms of not only the number of leagues and teams that are out there but as well the number of players looking to make it to the NHL. Technology has also made it that players from anywhere can seem right next door to a potential new team. We work with players to promote them to the next level of hockey through our own database of contacts and the many ways in which technology can help bridge the gap between unkown player and future star.
Player skills assessment
A player needs to be constantly assessed in order to improve skills, eliminate bad habits and become more consistent. We use pro level tools in order to assess players and then provide them with 1-on-1 feedback in order to further help that player take the proper steps in order to improve their performance.
On-going consultations with the player (and their parents) on improving game skills, off-ice conditioning and career development
As part of the process of growing and evolving as a player we also know the importance of the 1-on-1 meeting, the consultation process. It’s about dissecting the player – their skills on the ice, physical fitness, mental toughness, direction and more. Not every player is meant to play Major Junior hockey. Many players need the extra time and years that college provides in order to make their dream come true. We also talk to parents and players about choosing teams and skill levels in minor hockey. The goal is to help the player in his or her quest for what they want out of hockey.

Player recruitment
MyPuck Inc. has a large contact database, scouts and other hockey professionals who help us find the right players for the right teams. Our job is to help teams find players that fit the goals and needs of each individual team. We work with teams to find out what they want in a player. We also provide teams with feedback and assessments and let them know what type(s) of players would be best suited for their team. Simply put we connect the right player to the right team.
Try-out consultations to help select players for your team
Let’s face it, at times teams and coaches need a hand at selecting players for their team. We provide skilled professionals to help assess players skills during try-out camps in order to help coaches select the right players. We attend every skate and give post-skate feedback on the players we watch. We then consult with the team on who we feel would be best suited to join the team.
Detailed season-long player statistics updates, assessments and suggested areas for improvement
We work with teams over the course of the season by updating their team stats, assessing needs and providing feedback. As an example we might find a team is struggling defensively at road games. We assess the problem, suggest how to improve the situation and help the team turn things around. Bad habits can happen as a team and we help to alliviate those habits.
